What
does it mean to be an “Ecological Baby”?
An ecological baby lives
in harmony with its surroundings. Babies are naturally born with
reflexes and instincts. They naturally want to breastfeed and
nourished, be close to their mama, and be comfortable. Here at
Ecological Babies, we strive to make all those needs possible.
Unfortunately, we live in
a world where most of our products come from a few wealthy and
powerful companies whose first priority is profit and their consumers’
well-being last. Here at Ecological Babies, you can be assured
that the products you purchase from us put your baby and you at
the top. Our goal is to help you to look beyond the familiar labels
and phony advertisements and become a conscious consumer. You
deserve to know what you’re purchasing!
We are a business who proudly
advocates for the health of your baby, our environment, and the
dignity of all people who make the products available for us to
provide you. It’s important to us that those who make our
products are treated with the utmost respect and in conditions
we all deserve to work in. All our products are tested by us,
so we know we’re providing you with a quality product we
would use ourselves (and we do!).
Ecological Babies’
primary focus is cloth diapers. Why? When we look at all the products
we purchase for our baby, we believe diapers are the most critical
item of concern. The average family goes through over 3,000 diapers
per year for each child. This has an enormous negative impact
on the environment. In addition, most disposable diapers have
harmful chemicals inside and are placed on our baby’s bottoms.
We’re only learning now all the negative health affects
the diapers are causing our children.
Finally, we believe it is
a waste of money to purchase a diaper used only once. The average
family spends thousands of dollars on disposables yet could use
cloth diapers on all their children for less than $1,000. We want
to help you learn how truly easy it is to use cloth diapers and
how much happier your baby will be in them.
