What’s our Story?
Welcome! I hope you’ve
found our site informative and a solid jumping point in learning
how to make healthier choices for your entire family. We’re
based in Tallahassee, Florida yet our “community”
stretches from coast-to-coast.
Like many other mama-operated
businesses, Ecological Babies was founded so that I could stay
home with my children, while also giving me a chance to utilize
some of my other creative energy. I wanted to be able to empower
and connect with other local families who share similar values.
When I was pregnant, I needed
to have someone physically show and teach me about cloth diapers.
As a necessity, I turned to our important resource, the internet,
and instantly became overwhelmed. Honestly, if I hadn’t
been truly committed to using cloth diapers, I probably would
have given up. With a variety of diapers to choose from, confusing
myths and facts, and simply being such a novice, it seemed like
such a radical decision. But after using them, I realized this
is an option many families could easily utilize and would benefit
many (babies’ bottoms, environment, your wallet).
Give me an hour or so of
your time, and I’ll give you the opportunity to learn how
easy it is to choose cloth diapers and other natural parenting
products. If your still not convinced it’s a practical option
for your family, you haven’t spent a dime and at least know
you’ve given it a chance. Your baby and our planet are worth
it!
